Workload Reports Provide Excellent Employee Management

post image

WorkZone project management software gives you the ability to track as many projects as you like with as much detail as you need. One of the tools within Project Tracker is the ability to get a sense of the workload assigned to each of your people based on the tasks assigned to them, when this work should be occurring, and how much effort is expected out of each task.

In this example, I have filtered for a specific project and can see who is responsible for each task, when each task is expected to occur in the schedule, and the column of work is where you have estimated the amount of hours you expect a task to take. Here, Sean is assigned to a task that is expected to occur on October 28th, and we’re suggesting that it is going to take him two hours of work to do this on this one day.

This next example shows Susan having five days to get a task done between the 13th and 19th of December. And this is only 20 hours of effort, so WorkZone will divide up, giving Susan four hours of work for each of the five days. In another example, Michael and Todd are sharing a total of 20 hours of work. WorkZone will divide that equally into ten hours each, and then across the set time period, therefore giving them each an hour of work per day. This will all be rolled up into a report called Workload Reports. This gives you an overall sense of how much each user is assigned over a given
time frame. We’re currently viewing this in months, where individual columns represent work weeks.

Here we are viewing all of our people, and how much work has been assigned to each of them. To see the details of what each person has been assigned, you can click on their name to see a list broken up by work space, projects, and tasks. Work can be reassigned, or additional resources can be added, by then selecting a task. Cloud-based project management software makes this a reality. If your tasks are organized into categories, you can view your workloads by these categories, allowing you to more equally compare work that is being done across the site.
