What’s New in Workzone: May 2026 Release

A promotional graphic for the Workzone May 2026 release. Text reads: What’s New in Workzone. May 2026 Release. A green circle labeled NEW is on the right. Discover project management software updates, logo and tagline at the bottom.

You know the feeling. You click into a tool to do one thing, and ten minutes later you’re three menus deep wondering where that approval went. This release is about cutting that nonsense out.

Here’s what’s new this week.

A Redesigned Documents Module (Beta)

The Documents module got a full makeover. Approval details are front and center instead of buried. Reports live inside the module now (no more bouncing between screens to pull one). The document trays are cleaner, the navigation makes sense, and the whole thing just feels like less work to use.

A few things are still cooking for the next release: bulk file approval management, drag-and-drop, and search. But the bones are solid and worth trying now.

A project management dashboard for document approval workflow software displays a documents list with status icons, a detailed view on the right, and a settings panel at the bottom left featuring Workzone beta features toggles.

A Smarter Add Project Flow (Beta)

If you’ve ever stared at the Add Project modal and thought “…do I need all of these fields?”, this is for you. The new flow walks you through project creation step by step. Required fields are separated from optional ones, so your team fills out what actually matters and moves on.

We also cleaned up the project creation methods so it’s clearer which path to take when you’re starting something new.

How to Try Both Betas

Head to My Settings, find the new Beta Features section, and flip the toggle. Try one, try both, switch back whenever you want. It’s your call.

A user settings page displays Beta Features for toggling the New Add Project experience and New Documents module, both enabled. Highlights include project management software updates and a feedback email shown at the top.

Password Reset That Works With Your Security Tools

If your org uses email security software that rewrites links, you’ve probably had a fun time trying to reset passwords. (We’ve heard about it.) There’s now a token-based option: visit a dedicated reset page, paste your token in, and you’re set. No more fighting your own security tools to change a password.

Reorganized Add Project Settings

The fields that show up in the Add Project modal now have their own settings page. Easier to find, easier to tweak, especially if you’re about to try the new Add Project beta and want to dial things in.

A web page titled “Projects” features a highlighted “Add Project page” tab and a table for adding project fields, reflecting Workzone May 2026 release improvements in project management software updates like display and required options for key fields.

Bug Fixes

  • PDF exports from certain views now render correctly.
  • The left nav loads cleanly (no more visual glitch on page load).
  • Partner users show up properly in the new email forms.
