Hide/Display Task List columns and Add Project fields

Select ALL WORKSPACES from the workspace drop-down at the top. Select the Settings link at the top of the screen. Under the Projects section on the left menu, click the Fields to Display link.

Columns: Task List / Gantt Chart

The top table, labeled “Columns: Task List / Gantt Chart”, allows you to designate which columns of data should be made available for users to edit directly on the Task List or Gantt Chart.

Select the checkboxes next to the items that you would like displayed in the Task List and the Gantt Chart views for all your workspaces. Scroll to the bottom and click the Save Settings button.

Required fields are already checked and cannot be unchecked. The required fields for the Task List and the Gantt Chart view are different. If your Workzone site includes custom columns, they will also appear at the bottom of this table for selection. The columns you specify here will apply to Projects in all of your workspaces.

Note: unchecking a box on this page does not delete the item from Workzone; it merely hides it from display. If you check the box later, any hidden data will reappear.

Fields: Add Project Page

The bottom table, labeled “Fields: Add Project Page”, allows you to designate which fields should appear when a user is creating a project on the Add Project page.

In the “Display” column, select the checkboxes next to the items that you would like displayed on the Add Project page. Secondarily, in the “Required” column you can choose which of these fields must be filled out before the new project can be created. Scroll to the bottom and click the Save Settings button.

“Project Name” is the only required field and may not be unchecked. If your Workzone site includes custom columns, those columns will appear at the bottom of this table as fields to be filled out when creating a new project.

Any fields not selected here will not appear on the Add Project page, though the data of those fields can be updated in the corresponding Task List columns once the project has been created.
